HeY, Hola, SerVus, Y’all.

I’m Taylor.

I’m a queer person living outside of Greenville, SC. I am a parent to an amazing small human and my wife, Catie, and I have been married four years.

I worked as a public educator in my first life/earlier career and dove into birthwork as my wife and I began the process of growing our own family. I saw and felt a gap in inclusive and affirming support for queer and trans people growing their families. As I began to delve into the existing statistics surrounding birth outcomes, mental health, and access to community services, I felt more and more that I wanted to be involved in the field of birthwork and community care.

Acorn and Oak was born (see what I did there) of this giant hope I have to connect services and support to run the gamut of every phase of parenthood, nurturing your whole family, from acorn to oak.

My intention is to be a source of honest, equitable, and inclusive support, education, and care for all kinds of folks*. I hope to be a compassionate & gentle, yet strong hand to hold throughout the process of growing a family.

If you are seeking care that acknowledges and is informed by your unique identity, you’re in the right place.

*if you are pregnant, looking to become pregnant, or a new-ish parent… that means you, regardless of your gender, race, church affiliation, etc.
